Renovation of a library in Kernersville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
Replace the failed VRF system at the Paddison Memorial Library. Work includes the demolition and removal of fan coil units, selector boxes, refrigerant piping, and outdoor units; installation of a new VRF system including, but not limited to, fan coil units, selector boxes, refrigerant piping, and outdoor units; installation of new roof curbs and screening as required by zoning; reconfiguration of the DOAS to incorporate the ability to recirculate conditioned air in the event of an outage of the VRF system; new controls to replace the TRANE tracer system; and owner's training. Prime bidders must have a specialty license applicable to the work (electrical or HVAC); a GC license is not specifically required. A 5% Bid Bond is required at time of bid and 100% Performance & Payment Bonds will be required of the awarded contractor. The M/WBE subcontracting goals are 10% MBE and WBE cumulatively. Bidders must carefully read and understand the bidding documents. Forsyth County will not accept bids from firms whose representative does not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Should fewer than three bids be received, the project will have to be re-advertised. Interested bidders are required to reach out directly to TaWanna Gates to obtain a set of the bidding documents.
