Site work and paving for a road / highway in Landenberg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Sealed proposals are requested for paving work, specifically 'Paving In Place,' which includes extensive paving specifications available with the bid package. Milling before paving is required at a 2” depth, full width, totaling 22,800 sq. yds. Mill and fill base repair at 10” depth and 4'-10' width covers 12,950 sq. yds. A 2A subbase at 5” is required for 12,950 sq. yds., including compacting the existing subbase before placement. Super-pave Base Course 25 mm at 5” must be applied to 12,950 sq. yds. Super-pave scratch or leveling 19 mm at 2.5” will require 3,675 tons. Super-pave wearing course 9.5 mm at 1 ½” covers 18,850 sq. yds. All bids must include all items listed; partial bids will not be accepted. Only PennDOT prequalified prime contractors may bid, and prevailing wage applies. Proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the township. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked 'Paving Bid' and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid. A performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract amount is required from the successful bidder within 20 days after the award. All work must comply with current PennDOT specifications. The township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
