Site work and paving for a road / highway in Friendship, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Preston, Adams County, WI is accepting bids for the pavement project on 8th Ave. Road from Czech Ave. to 8th Dr. This project is funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Road Improvement (LRIP). An engineer's certificate is required. Sealed bids are due at the Preston Town Hall by 4:00pm Wednesday May 27, 2026. Bids can be mailed or delivered in person. Contact information for bid requirements, specifications, and road questions is provided. The Town of Preston reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or accept any bid deemed most advantageous to the Town. SCOPE: Project has already been pulverized and graded. Install 4 inches of 1.25 inch road base meeting WI DOT Spec, (No crushed concrete or recycled asphalt) final shape, water and compact to a width of 24 feet. Pave a 2 inch mat 20 ft wide using 4LT 58-28S Hot Mix Asphalt. Then add 2 ft shoulders using _ inch road base meeting WI Dot Spec. All Hard surface driveways shall be cut back and repaved far enough to provide for decent transition. All other driveways shall be blended with gravel to provide for a decent transition. The work shall be done in accordance with Section 475 of the State of Wisconsin "Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction" Current edition. No work will be paid for unless done with the coordination of town personnel on site.
