The City of Arbyrd requests qualifications for professional engineering services, including preliminary engineering, design, and construction inspection services, to assist in a proposed public facilities project that will be partially financed with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The remaining portion of the project will be financed by the city's $500,000 for a potential drainage project. Information to be provided must address the following: specialized experience and technical competence with street improvements or related work; capacity and capability to perform required work, including specialized services, within a twelve-month period; past performance regarding cost control, quality of work, and meeting schedules; proximity to and familiarity with the project area; references from similar work within the past five years; and documentation of E-Verify compliance. Priority will be given to specialized experience, past performance, and references. Selection will be qualifications-based, with costs for preliminary engineering and for engineering design negotiated and contracted separately. Contracts for engineering design and construction inspection are contingent upon grant award and funding commitment. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Requests for proposals for design services is underway.
