Sealed bids are requested for the Fieldhouse Planning and Construction project at Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, Louisiana. Bidding documents are available electronically at no charge and must be obtained by bidders at their own reproduction cost if printed. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates is required, and must be submitted in the form stated in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder must also provide a Performance and Payment Bond as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must be licensed for Building Construction in accordance with LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 and comply with LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn within forty-five days after bids are received, except as permitted by LA. R.S. 38:2214. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Award of the contract is contingent upon the availability of state or other funds. Participation in the Small Entrepreneurship (SE) Program (Hudson Initiative) and the Veteran-Owned and Service-Connected Disabled Veteran-Owned (LaVet) Small Entrepreneurships Program is encouraged.
