The project consists of infrastructure upgrades to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization initiative at an existing Department of Veterans Affairs medical campus. The work includes comprehensive electrical upgrades such as electrical panel replacements, normal and emergency power improvements, bonding enhancements, uninterruptible power supply systems, and integration with the Building Management System. The scope also requires assessment and upgrades to existing HVAC systems, including reconfiguration, expansion, and modifications as needed to support renovated and expanded spaces. Interior work includes selective demolition, new construction, and architectural finishes to support reconfigured and renovated areas. The project further includes extensive information technology and communications infrastructure improvements. These efforts include data center cabling and rack or cabinet work such as relocation of existing racks and cabinets, cable management, installation of new data outlets, patch panels, and upgrades to Category 6A cabling. Campus-wide fiber infrastructure will be assessed and upgraded both within and between buildings, including the provision of diversified pathways for wide area network connectivity. Additional scope elements include physical security system upgrades and hazardous material abatement where required. All construction services will be performed in accordance with completed contract documents prepared by an independent architect-engineer and will include all labor, materials, equipment, and associated construction activities necessary to fully execute the work.
