The Fish Creek Pond Multi-Use Trail Project consists of the rehabilitation and asphalt resurfacing of approximately 3.0 miles of existing multi-use trail located within the Fish Creek Pond Campground. The project is intended to improve accessibility, enhance visitor safety, and encourage non-motorized recreational use by providing a durable and accessible trail surface separated from adjacent campground roadways. The rehabilitated trail will generally consist of an 8-foot-wide asphalt surface with 6 inches of compacted subbase and 1.5-foot-wide compacted gravel shoulders on each side. The trail will be constructed to maintain a maximum cross slope of 2 percent and a maximum running slope of 10 percent in accordance with applicable accessibility requirements. Estimated to be between $1,050,000 and $1,170,000 for General Construction. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for the construction of an approximately 3.25-mile, 8-foot wide asphalt multi-use trail. Work includes, but not limited to; clearing and grubbing, earthwork, underground utility location, subbase placement and compaction, asphalt placement, erosion and sediment controls, trail signage and pavement marking.
