Renovation of a swimming pool in Kitimat, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
The District of Kitimat is interested in receiving quotations from Contractors for the supply, installation, and commissioning of new swimming pool filters at the Sam Lindsay Aquatic Centre. The existing filters were installed in 2008 during a major pool renovation and expansion project and have reached the end of their useful service life as the filters are now obsolete. This project consists of providing four filters for the Teaching Pool, Leisure Pool, Lap Pool, and Kids Pool which are located in the basement mechanical room. The District of Kitimat will remove and dispose of the existing filters prior to Contractor mobilization, but the work will involve modifications to existing piping as required to accommodate the new filters.
