The District of Kitimat requests proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide residential curbside collection services for a term of five years, with the possibility of up to two optional one-year contract extensions based on mutual agreement. The services include bi-weekly garbage collection alternating with recyclable materials collection, bi-weekly recyclable materials collection (on alternate weeks to garbage collection), weekly food waste collection, and seasonal (April-November) collection of separated yard waste. These collection services are for residential properties within the District of Kitimat. Homes in the Village of Kitamaat receive garbage, recyclable materials, and food waste collection (excluding yard waste) under this contract. Proposals must be delivered directly to the District of Kitimat office, either electronically, in person, by mail, or by courier, in a sealed envelope or package clearly labelled as 'Confidential – Request for Proposals – District of Kitimat Residential Curbside Collection Services 2026-2031, Contract No. 467.' Physical submissions must include a digital copy on a USB stick. Late submissions may not be considered and will be returned unopened.
