After abatement, surfaces should be primed, sealed, and repainted as specified. Interior sealing and repainting are also required. Only contractors certified in lead abatement are eligible to bid. All work performed must strictly adhere to federal, state, and local regulations concerning removal and safety procedures. Contractors are required to provide proof of valid lead abatement certification and proof of insurance. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope.
