Site work and asbestos abatement for a museum in Pepin, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a museum; and for asbestos abatement for a museum.
The project involves removing old paint from the exterior of the historic depot building at 808 Third St. Contractors must clean, contain, and dispose of hazardous materials according to regulations. After abatement, surfaces should be primed, sealed, and repainted as specified. Interior sealing and repainting are also required. Only contractors certified in lead abatement are eligible to bid. All work performed must strictly adhere to federal, state, and local regulations concerning removal and safety procedures. Contractors are required to provide proof of valid lead abatement certification and proof of insurance. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope. The Village of Pepin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the Village.
