This combined synopsis/solicitation is for the supply and installation of a replacement three-phase power heat pump system at the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument Ranger District Office. The contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing 16-year-old ducted Trane heat pump system, including the furnace and heat pump units, with disposal performed off Forest Service property. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and electrical work necessary to furnish and install a complete replacement HVAC system, including all electrical connections required for full operation. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and ASHRAE codes and standards. The replacement system must be capable of operating efficiently in sustained winter temperatures below 25 degrees Fahrenheit, and emergency or electric strip heating shall not be the sole source of heat at these temperatures. The contractor shall test all installed units and deliver a fully functional system. Proposals must clearly identify the type, size, model number, and low-temperature operating rating of the proposed equipment, and include a complete manufacturer brochure for evaluation.
