The Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir (SR1), known as the Springbank Dam, is an off-stream flood mitigation facility located in Rocky View County, Alberta, approximately 15 kilometres west of Calgary. It is designed to operate at or near full capacity only during significant flood events, generally those equal to or exceeding a 1-in-200-year occurrence, with flood operations most likely between May and July. The facility includes various interconnected infrastructure systems such as electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems, all essential for safe operation, flood readiness, and regulatory compliance. Qualified contractors are required to provide both on-demand and planned maintenance services for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Services include inspection, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and minor system upgrades to support ongoing operations and asset stewardship. All work will be performed under the direction of the assigned Project Manager, who will specify the need and ensure alignment with project objectives. Contractors must provide experienced, qualified, and specialized personnel capable of performing the required work efficiently and safely.
