Robeson County is requesting qualifications for groundwater supply improvement. The selected Design-Builder will be required to provide the following bonds for this Project: Payment Bond in the amount of $2,000,000 Performance Bond in the amount of $2,000,000 The initial scope of work for this project will be to improve the flow and pressure capacity for various areas of the County Water System. More specifically this scope will include: Installation of a new potable water well and required infrastructure to replace an existing Well #59 in St. Pauls, NC. Preliminary testing and evaluation have been performed, and the well is permitted for construction. Project scope shall include all remaining installation, construction, and development of a permanent production well, including necessary permitting, lab testing, and inspection. Water Line extension / Loops to provide better flow capacities at 3 different locations in the County. This scope will include all permitting, materials, and installation, and testing to meet all state and county requirements. The scope of the project may also consist of the evaluation of additional groundwater supply sources in various parts of Robeson County, including the installation of test wells, production wells, piping networks, or groundwater treatment facilities. The additional scope of work will be dependent on the test well results and could consist of multiple new production wells, rehabilitation on existing wells, or other various improvements groundwater supply and treatment infrastructure.
