Sealed proposals are requested for the following work: milling 2,559 square yards of bituminous pavement, placement of 384 tons of Superpave binder course (19.0mm), and placement of 230 tons of Superpave wearing course (9.5mm). The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies if the bid exceeds $100,000. Liquidated damages are set at $975.00 per calendar day. Proposals must use the forms provided by the municipality. For third class cities, bids require a certified check or bid bond of 10% of the bid amount, payable to the municipality; for other municipalities, this is at their discretion. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract within 20 days of award. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
