Renovation of a detention facility in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Chiller replacement at Scotland Correctional Institution, 22385 McGirts Bridge Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352. Sealed proposals will be received for the construction of the Scotland CI Chiller Replacement. Bids must be submitted according to the instructions regarding mailing to ensure timely receipt. Should the bidder find discrepancies in, or omission from, the drawings or documents or should he be in doubt as to their meaning, he shall at once notify the designer who will send written instructions in the form of addenda to all bidders. Notification should be no later than seven (7) days prior to the date set for receipt of bids. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Replacement of (2) 600-ton legacy chillers with high-efficiency magnetic bearing units and the transition to a variable primary-variable secondary (VPVS) chilled water architecture. Scope includes pump and valve redesign, integration of advanced control sequences, installation of emergency bypass connections, and a new roof mounted exhaust fan for general ventilation improvements within the mechanical room, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents
