The City of Ocala requires the services of a licensed general or building Contractor to provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the construction and installation of fifteen (15) Bus Stop Shelters, as identified in the site plans, within Ocala and Marion County, Florida. The proposed bus stops will include shelters provided by the City, lighting packages, and benches. This is a lump sum bid for the complete construction and installation of the Bus Stop Shelters as specified, as designed in the exhibits. All bids must be electronically submitted by the due date through the specified online platforms. Bidders must be certified licensed general or building contractors in Florida, possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial/industrial building construction, and provide three completed projects and three verifiable professional references. Bid security equal to 5% of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a payment bond for 50% of the contract price. A maintenance and guarantee bond for 10% of the total project value is required for a period of three years for labor and materials from final completion. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, commercial automotive liability, workers’ compensation, and builder’s risk insurance. All costs for bonds must be included in the lump sum price. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis and award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting all requirements.
