Bloomfield Borough is requesting bids for street paving and maintenance. The project consists of paving at three locations: South Church Street (approximately 210 linear feet between Barnett Street and Farmers Alley, 5,040 sq/ft), South Apple Street (approximately 200 linear feet south from Barnett Street, 4,000 sq/ft), and Veterans Drive (extending east from East Main Street intersection, approximately 6,480 sq/ft). All materials must comply with PennDOT publication 408 specifications. Bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond must be included with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. A performance and payment bond, each for 100% of the contract price, is required from the successful bidder. An anti-collusion affidavit is required. Questions must be submitted via PennBid; telephone inquiries are not permitted. Bidders must comply with all state antibid-rigging regulations, environmental regulations, and the Public Works Employment Verification Act, including E-Verify. A Public Works Employment Verification Form is required. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act does not apply to this project as it is estimated below $100,000.
