The project consists of renovations at the Village of Oxford Fire Station, located at 20 Main Street, Oxford, New York. The proposal shall include all labor, material, equipment, and accessories necessary to complete the scope of work. Contractors are required to be fully familiar with all specifications and drawings. All contractors must coordinate services on the project and comply with all applicable safety and health regulations, including the most stringent OSHA standards. Appropriate insurance coverage is required, and premiums must be included in the Base Proposal. The project is nontaxable and subject to prevailing labor rates. Bidders must deliver their proposals by hard copy, mail, email as a single PDF, or as a single PDF on a USB drive as specified. Each bid must include a Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate and be accompanied by bid security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price. The bid security must be a certified or bank check or a bid bond from a surety company with a minimum A.M. Best and Co. A Rating. A mandatory walk through of the project site is scheduled for contractors to become familiar with the work area, jobsite conditions, and its limitations. All requests for information must be submitted as specified. Bidders must submit an M/WBE Utilization Plan to detail how they will meet the minimum goals of 15% for Minority-Owned Businesses and 15% for Women-Owned Businesses or provide a written request for a waiver along with documentation of their good faith efforts. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
