The Project includes the following Work: The project is located in the Town of Ontario, Wayne County, New York and involves the installation of improvements at the Town's Bear Creek Harbor Park. The project site is located primarily on the east side of Bear Creek, approximately 600 feet south of the creek outlet to Lake Ontario, just north of the Lake Road bridge. The primary objective of the project is to convert a vacant Town owned parcel into a recreational area for community members, which will complete the Town's development of the Bear Creek Harbor. The proposed features for the project are as follows; an ADA compliant walking trail, concrete sidewalks, retaining walls, a fishing pier, site grading, storm water improvements, site lighting and parking. In addition to the recreational amenities, the project proposes the installation of vegetated rip rap stabilization on the banks of Bear Creek. The project also proposes exterior facade improvements to an existing Town building located at Bear Creek Harbor. Bids are to be submitted as a single prime contract on a lump sum basis. Each bidder must submit with the bid a separate sealed list naming each subcontractor for plumbing and gas fitting, steam heating, hot water heating, ventilating and air conditioning apparatus, and electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures, along with the agreed-upon amount to be paid to each. Bidding documents are available for download from the designated website for a non-refundable fee, and official communications and addenda are provided only through this website. Bidding Documents may be examined at the offices of MRB Group (The Culver Road Armory, 145 Culver Road, Suite 160, Rochester, N.Y. 14620), and the Town of Ontario (1850 Ridge Road, Ontario, New York 14519), on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM. Bidding Documents will not be available from MRB Group or the Owner. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
