The U.S. Coast Guard requires services for removal of existing 40 kW, 120V/240V, three-phase standby diesel generator system and replacement with a new generator system of equivalent specifications. The work includes upgrading the associated Automatic Bypass Transfer Switch (ABT) to match the new generator capacity, ensuring proper exhaust and ventilation, and renewing the fuel system piping and accessories as required. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to remove and replace the existing diesel generator. Due to access door width, the entire generator assembly must be a maximum of 34 3/4 " wide to fit into the access doorway. Bidders must submit a complete price quotation including a signed Standard Form (SF) 1442 and a detailed price breakdown for demolition and debris disposal, materials and installation, and electrical work and system integration. The technical proposal must provide a clear narrative demonstrating understanding and ability to meet the requirements, including a step-by-step technical approach, and a high-level project schedule with milestones and completion date.
