The project consists of constructing 340 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron potable water main, 760 linear feet of PVC and ductile iron sanitary sewer main, and 40 linear feet of 19-inch by 30-inch HERCP storm pipe at the Warrior Training Center Foundary Facility on Fort Benning, Georgia. Bidders are required to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for completion. The work will be awarded under a single contract. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent of the Bid. Bidders must comply with Equal Employment Opportunity requirements and are required to demonstrate good faith efforts to comply with the Owner's goal of a minimum of ten percent of the Bid Amount to be done by Minority Owned Firms (MBE) and five percent by Women Owned Firms (WBE). The Owner encourages local businesses and contractors to participate. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for 100 percent of the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 calendar days after the scheduled receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed, delivered or otherwise issued to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
