Project number C071184 is titled Replace Fan and Bearings*Central Heating Plant. All work on this contract is to be completed within 180 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit their bids in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five percent of the Total Bid. Prospective bidders must purchase a bid set from nyplanroom.com to be considered a responsible bidder. Payment of a deposit is required to receive the documents. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. There are certain restrictions on communications between the University and potential bidders during the procurement process pursuant to State Finance Law.
