Renovation of a multi-residential development in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a three-story above grade multi-residential development.
The City of Binghamton is seeking proposals from qualified developers, investors, and future owner-occupants for the acquisition and rehabilitation of two vacant, City-owned residential properties: 182 Hawley St. and 3 Cary St. The goal is to return these properties to productive use as quality housing, contributing to neighborhood stabilization and the City's housing goals. Proposals may be submitted for one or both properties. The City encourages, but does not require, proposals that incorporate affordable housing and urges developers to explore financing programs through New York State Homes and Community Renewal and other relevant programs. Respondents are asked to submit a concise Letter of Interest with basic supporting information to evaluate project viability. Interior inspections of both properties can be scheduled upon request, and interested parties are strongly encouraged to schedule an inspection before submitting a proposal.
