Renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Alameda, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,000-square-foot municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Municipality invites qualified Design-Build Contractors to submit proposals for the design and construction of an addition of approximately 800-1,000 square feet to an existing 1,600 square foot municipal office building. This project will follow a two-stage process: Stage 1 will be delivered under a CCDC 5A Construction Management for Services contract to complete the design and produce a Class A estimate. Stage 2 will transition to a CCDC 14 Design-Build Stipulated Price Contract for the construction phase, based on the accepted Class A estimate. The addition will include 3 offices and a file room. The existing space will be redesigned to expand the existing council chambers, revamp the reception area, and expand the existing washroom to become 2 washrooms. Sustainability and lifecycle cost efficiency are priorities. The successful proponent will be responsible for design, approvals, and construction under a single point of responsibility.
