This request for proposal is for waste and recycling disposal services for 13 different buildings owned and operated by Kent Intermediate School District. The contract term is for a two-year period with guaranteed pricing, plus two additional optional renewal years, which may be renewed in one-year increments. Bidders must provide an estimated percentage increase per year for the two optional renewal years. Bids must be provided in duplicate, delivered in a sealed envelope/package clearly marked, and submitted by the specified deadline. Electronic or email bids will not be accepted. All bids must include a sworn and notarized familial disclosure statement and a statement on whether the bidder is an Iran Linked Business. Three references for similar contracted services must be provided, and the required forms must be notarized. Kent ISD reserves the right to only allow Michigan Based Businesses to bid, to qualify or disqualify bidders based on available information and suitability, to use subjective criteria in awarding the contract, and to negotiate changes in services with the selected bidder. No bid may be withdrawn, changed, or modified for ninety days from the date of bid opening. All information in bid responses may be disclosed under the Freedom of Information Act. Kent ISD is exempt from state and federal taxes and does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or veteran status in its programming, employment, or contracting. It is the bidder's responsibility to review all requirements and comply with all instructions and conditions provided.
