This project reconstructs existing roadways to allow two travel lanes, bike lanes, and curbside parking. Other work includes: replacing curbs and gutters, upgrading curb ramps to current ADA guidelines, constructing sidewalks with tree wells, installing LED pedestrian and street lighting, upgrading storm drainage, and modifying/upgrading traffic signals, including installation of optical fiber and connection to the City of Lynnwood's Traffic Control Center. Phase I of the project reconstructs 236th St SW from the Transit Center through the intersection at 56th Ave W. Phase II reconstructs 56th Ave W from 236th Street SW to 230th Street SW. Phase I was completed in 2021. Phase II is expected to begin construction in 2026.
