Renovation of a military facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Repair by replacement of the roof on Building B512 includes providing all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove, demolish, and replace approximately 23,100 square feet of the existing built-up roofing system. The work requires installation of a new fully adhered 60-mil EPDM roof system with a minimum R-20 insulation value, along with replacement of approximately 750 linear feet of gutters and 150 linear feet of downspouts. Existing roofing, insulation, and flashings are to be removed down to the original roof deck, which consists of a combination of metal deck and spancrete substrate. The contractor must inspect the exposed deck, report any deterioration, and complete all repairs and installations in accordance with manufacturer requirements and applicable Unified Facilities Criteria, including UFC 3-110-03 Roofing. Work must be coordinated to prevent exposure to weather and minimize impact to ongoing operations, and all construction shall comply with the design requirements, specifications, and drawings provided within the master specifications.
