The work generally includes the construction of 871 linear feet of concrete sidewalk, 4 ADA curb ramps, 69 linear feet of concrete curb, 65 square yards of asphalt and driveway adjustment pavement, tree removal, addition of pavement markings, installation of two Type M inlets, 50 linear feet of HDPE pipe, and yard restoration. Construction will occur in PennDOT rights-of-way and Township obtained easements, and involves restoration of roadway, curb, sidewalk, lawn, and right-of-way areas, as well as provisions for all necessary erosion and sediment control. The Contractor is responsible for maintenance and control of traffic while working in roadway areas. All bids must include lump sum or unit prices for each item to be considered for award at the Township's option after review of bid amounts. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a surety company licensed in Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Amount payable to the Township. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act apply if the estimated project cost exceeds $25,000. The successful bidder must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates, ensure nondiscrimination and legal authorization to work for all employees, subcontractors and applicants, and must furnish separate bonds or irrevocable letters of credit, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, to secure the faithful performance and maintenance of the Contract and prompt payment of materials and labor. All applicable Occupational Safety and Health Act provisions must be strictly followed on the project. Bids must be accompanied by a completed Bid Form, Bidder’s Qualification Statement, electronic copy of Bid Bond, executed Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Public Works Verification Form.
