Sealed bids are requested for supplying labor, equipment, and services required for Submersible Sump Pumps - Wastewater Applications. Bidders must fully inform themselves of the conditions relating to supplying the specified equipment, construction, and labor required for the work. The contractor is expected to use methods that do not interfere with other contractors. Only one unaltered proposal may be submitted per bidder. The town will affirmatively ensure that disadvantaged business enterprises have the opportunity to submit bids and will not face discrimination on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and technical defects, and to award the contract to the lowest responsible and qualified bidder as determined by the town. Question Deadline 06/12/2026 Every request for such interpretation shall be in writing, addressed to the Town Engineer, 172 Main St. Killingly, Connecticut 06239. The Town of Killingly, Connecticut ("Town") invites sealed proposals from qualified suppliers for the purchase and delivery of submersible sump pump equipment for use in municipal sump pump pits located at 31 Wauregan Road, Killingly, Connecticut. This procurement is for materials only and does not include installation, removal, or field assembly services. The pumps shall consist of four (4) submersible wastewater sump pumps, specifically the Goulds 4SD52H2BA or approved equal, designed for municipal wastewater service and fully compatible with existing sump pump infrastructure. Each unit shall be rated at approximately 3 HP, 460 volt, 3-phase, with a 4-inch flanged horizontal discharge, capable of delivering up to 485 GPM at a maximum head of approximately 46 feet with one pump exceeding 50 feet of head. All equipment shall be new, corrosion-resistant, factory-tested, and compliant with applicable industry standards. The intent of this purchase is to ensure the Town maintains reliable sump pump operations by installing high-quality, durable pumping equipment that supports system performance, reduces downtime, and integrates seamlessly with existing piping and operational configurations.
