This project is for the resurfacing of approximately 0.50 miles of the Enola Low Grade Trail in Quarryville Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The work also includes the paving of two ADA parking spots, installation of hardscape features, replacement of bridge railings, and placement of signing and pavement markings. Questions Due Date: Jun 24th 2026, 11:00 AM EDT Sealed proposals will be received online via the PennBid program. Each proposal must be accompanied by a copy of a Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to "Quarryville Borough," in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid total. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Sponsor is located will be accepted, and the bond shall state the same. Performance and payment financial security, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, and evidence of all required insurance must be furnished by the successful Bidder at the time set forth in the bidding documents. Alternative financial security, such as a lending institution letter of credit or restrictive lending institution escrow account, must comply with Pennsylvania law and be approved by the Sponsor's solicitor. This is a public works project and subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bids must be submitted unconditionally, and no bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The contractor must familiarize themselves with the site prior to submitting a bid. The Sponsor reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or irregularities. If a bid proposal contains missing information, the Sponsor may request additional information be submitted prior to award. All work shall be in conformance with current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Publications and the Contract Specifications. Pre-qualification of bidders is not required for this project.
