All correspondence must include the Architect's Project Name and Project Number referenced. The Owner and/or the Architect are not responsible for misdirected or misrouted correspondence. Bid Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a separate sealed envelope, addressed to the Owner, bearing the name and address of the bidder, and clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid number on the outside of the envelope. Each proposal shall be accompanied by (1) a bid bond or certified cashier's check payable to the Owner equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000 pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, and (2) Certificate of Consent of Surety pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a NJ Statutory Performance Bond and a NJ Statutory Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract. The Consent of Surety shall be executed by an approved surety company authorized to do business in the State of NJ and in accordance with N.J.S.A. 2A:44-143, and 2A:44-144; with AM BEST rating of A- or better companies nationally recognized and must be delivered to the above place on or before the hour named. The Owner and the Architect assume no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery.
