Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Savannah, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

The project includes replacing the existing bridge with a new 80-foot composite wide-flange steel beam bridge. The scope requires providing procurement assistance to the County for certain bridge replacement-related materials and equipment, as well as the procurement, coordination, and installation of select items necessary for the successful completion of the project. All bidders must purchase plans through Great River Engineering and be on the planholder list in order to bid. The contract requires payment of the prevailing hourly wage rate for each craft or type of work required, as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, adhering to the higher of state or federal wage rates. All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2025, Third Edition, including all revisions, with the contractor questionnaire on file 7 days prior to bid opening. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract must provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or a similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty days of beginning work. A certified cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of 5% must be submitted with each proposal. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project. The Andrew County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
