Renovation of a mixed-use development in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Amendment 1 is issued to post the site visit attendee list, provide responses to pre-site visit questions, and extend the RFQ closing date. The amendment clarifies that vendors are to provide a ceiling lift and rail motor retrofit solution for up to 282 ceiling motors, with the final determination based on the vendors proposed equipment and implementation approach, provided the vendor can support motor and rail service for at least one year and provide a minimum three-year warranty on equipment and rails upon installation completion. Existing charging systems are continuous charging across three manufacturers, and vendors must propose a solution capable of continuous charging upon installation completion. For rooms where existing tracks are not adaptable, functionality and standardization of rails are preferred, with adaptability to be addressed in the vendor's solution; patient room sizes vary and scaled drawings will be provided. The amendment identifies rooms requiring new XY track systems with specified approximate dimensions and notes that additional scaled room drawings will follow. Sling and accessory requirements are clarified to require compatibility with various reusable and disposable slings in accordance with the statement of work, with vendors to identify any specific models needed. Training requirements are addressed, indicating that clinical training should ideally span up to five business days to accommodate multiple shifts and units, with the training plan to be included in the vendor's RFQ response, while biomedical training is anticipated to be one day for mechanical systems or two to three days if software or computerized components are involved. The amendment confirms that a minimum three-year warranty on lift motors is required per the statement of work and must be addressed in the vendor's RFQ response. The site visit was completed on May 4, 2026, and the RFQ close date is extended from May 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM EST to June 16, 2026 at 12:00 PM EST. all questions submitted within 5 days of site visit will be answered.
