Route 18 NB, Bridge over Conrail, Contract No. 037163520, Bridge Replacement, Township of East Brunswick, Middlesex County CE No: 1212541 Estimated Range between $20,000,001 to $35,000,000 Contractors Prequalified in one of these Work Types are eligible to bid this project: 4 or 5 Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.35(d), if the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD Commissioner) makes an initial determination that an employer has violated the provisions of P.L.1963, c.150 (C.34:11-56.25 et seq.) by paying wages at rates less than the rates applicable under that act, the LWD Commissioner may immediately issue a stop-work order to cease all business operations at every site where the violation has occurred, and may assess a civil penalty of $5,000 per day against the employer for each day it conducts business operations in violation of the stop-work order. If the stop-work order is issued against a subcontractor, the general contractor may terminate that subcontractor from the project in accordance with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.35(d).
