The intent of this study is to have a detailed condition assessment of the Chiller and all associated chilled water pumps mechanical components. The scope of work includes comprehensive vibration analysis among other assessment requirements. The mechanical engineering consultant performing this assessment will engage the appropriate contractors to conduct the necessary tests and provide a signed written report upon completion. The study will confirm and verify the efficiency of the chiller, efficiency of the pumps and related mechanical equipment, and evaluate whether installing VFDs on the condenser pumps would be a feasible energy saving measure. The study will also confirm the flow rate across the evaporator to assess if tube failure is approaching, determine the amount of corrosion on all associated components, and record flow rate and pressure readings across the pumps. The study must clearly identify repairs needed for immediate issues and to prolong the life of the chiller, pumps, and attached components, including costs, as well as provide full replacement costs and savings. Verification of the refrigerant and consideration of any phase out requirements or conversion opportunities are also required. Bids must be submitted online.
