The project is for park design and concept planning services for Springwood Park, a 5.47-acre park in Dunwoody, Georgia. The selected consultant is to support future park planning efforts by facilitating public engagement and producing a final concept plan, including planning-level cost information. The intent is to support the City's ongoing park planning, assess current site conditions, develop alternatives for park improvements, and prepare a concept plan to guide future capital planning, grant applications, and phased implementation reflecting community needs, site constraints, operational considerations, and the City's long-term goals for quality park facilities. Location - 249 Perimeter Center Pkwy, Dunwoody, Georgia. The scope of services includes: - Conducting a kick-off meeting with City staff to review goals, background information, and schedule. - Collecting and reviewing site conditions and available data (including topography, utilities, floodplain, stream buffers, tree impacts, access, and constraints). - Preparing a base map and performing a site visit with photo documentation. - Preparing a site analysis exhibit identifying opportunities, constraints, and issues. - Reviewing nearby parks and facilities within roughly a 2-mile radius to assess access to greenspace and recreation amenities. - Attending a staff meeting to review inventory and analysis findings. - Developing two draft concept plans for staff and public review with 2D rendered plans, annotations, precedent images, and narrative descriptions. - Attending meetings and conducting a public open house to present concepts and gather feedback and reviewing with City staff and/or Council to confirm the preferred concept.
