Sealed proposals are requested for the AIDB Gentry Dorm HVAC Replacement in Talladega, Alabama. Bidders must submit a cashier’s check or bid bond payable to Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, up to $10,000. Performance and payment bonds as well as required insurance evidence must be provided at contract signing. Drawings and specifications are available for examination and may be obtained upon deposit, refundable for up to two sets per contractor submitting a bona fide bid, with additional conditions for extra sets. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the Engineer. Bidders in excess of licensing thresholds must hold a valid Alabama General Contractor’s License, displayed on the sealed envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject proposals or waive technical errors. Nonresident bidders must submit a legal opinion regarding contract preferences in their state.
