Site work for a municipal facility in Irvine, California. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

The work includes, but is not limited to: soil profiling, soil loading, exporting/transporting/disposal at an authorized legal disposal site, and other tasks required by the plans and Special Provisions. Bidders must hold a Class A license and a Commercial Driver’s License with a Hazardous Materials Endorsement. Bidders with the three lowest responsive bids must deliver an original hard copy of the certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond within five business days of the bid opening date or risk being declared non-responsive. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements, the Community Workforce Agreement (CWA), and all applicable California public contract laws. Contractors and all subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations prior to submitting a bid. A signed Letter of Assent to the CWA must be included with the bid proposal packet. Non-signatory contractors must register their workers (Core Employees) with the appropriate union hall and provide a Core Employees List to the CWA Administrator. The local hire provision requires best efforts to utilize qualified workers residing locally, followed by veterans in Orange County, MC3 Graduates, and other Orange County residents. Contractors must hold a Pre-Job Conference with all subcontractors to disclose their scope of work and union assignments. The duration of the project is estimated at 30 working days.
