Removal and disposal of the old carpet, adherence to local disposal regulations, light surface preparation if needed, inspection of subfloor for suitability, removal of debris and dust for proper adhesion, reporting of any subfloor issues to the owner before work, supply and installation of baseboards as needed to match existing, measurement and supply of 2880 square feet of carpet (to be confirmed during walkthrough), installation pattern determined by Senior Center staff, ensuring tight and clean corners, removal of all packaging and debris upon completion, coordination to minimize building closure, moving of furniture except heavy book shelves, installation of PATCRAFT GRAPHITE i0575-00450 INDIGO carpet, provision of samples upon request before ordering and installation, measurement double-checked during walkthrough, leaving two full boxes of tile carpet for future repairs, completion of all work in compliance with prevailing wages and applicable procurement laws, and provision and installation of any needed transitions or thresholds. Instructions include: proposals must be submitted via email with a specific subject line, all proposals are subject to funding availability and must conform to insurance requirements and Massachusetts General Laws, insurance and certification documents must be provided, payment will be lump sum after completion, work cannot start before a specified date, coordination with Senior Center and facilities staff is required, all work to be during normal business hours, and attendance at a mandatory walkthrough is required for bidders.
