Repair and renovation services are required to upgrade an existing 65,000+ square foot maintenance hangar facility to meet current standards using conventional design and construction methods. Work includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to improve indoor workspace for maintaining assigned and transient aircraft, along with supporting administrative, training, storage, and operational functions. The project involves replacement of existing windows with energy-efficient systems, removal and replacement of the roof, replacement of bi-parting sliding main hangar doors, refurbishment and recladding of an existing sliding Phase Dock door, and installation of new plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems with an emphasis on energy efficiency and conservation. Additional work includes phased construction with demolition and renovation of the main hangar, associated shops, administrative areas, and secondary spaces, followed by subsequent renovations to the Phase Dock hangar and support rooms. Optional work may include trench drain and sewer modifications, generator replacement, and maintenance of temporary facilities during phased construction.
