Demolition, site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Pensacola, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development.
Escambia County is soliciting bids for the demolition and construction of a single-family dwelling according to attached plans and written specifications. Bidders must be licensed in the State of Florida as a Certified or Registered General Contractor, Building Contractor, or Residential Contractor, and must be in good standing with Escambia County, holding a Division One Contractor's License that includes Escambia County Building and Inspections Department. All work performed must be inspected (rough and final) and conform to County Ordinances, State Laws, and Florida Building Code. Permits, overhead, insurance, and profit must be included with each itemized price. All permits must be paid for and obtained by the contractor. Contractors are responsible for providing a termite treatment statement, connecting and installing temporary utilities (water and power), providing a portable toilet, locating underground utilities, maintaining security of materials and equipment, and lawn maintenance until project completion is certified. Submittals must include a current W9, vendor information sheet, certificates of insurance, and performance and payment bonds. Bids must comply with all scope, plans, permitting requirements, and the Florida Building Code. All bids must be prepared using the original bid documents, include lump sum pricing, and be submitted electronically by the stated deadline. No additional terms or modifications will be accepted unless by official addendum. The work must be substantially completed within 135 days of the Notice to Proceed, with final completion in 165 days, subject to liquidated damages of $350 per day for delays. All work must be completed professionally with removal of all debris and adherence to OSHA safety regulations. The awarded vendor must guard against damage or loss to County property and comply with all licensing, certification, registration, and insurance requirements during the contract period.
