QA date - 6-17-2026 5:00 PM Contractor Deadline to Submit Questions to pwpurchasing@grand-island.com Questions regarding this project may be submitted to Tyler Schoening , Civil Engineer II, at (308)389-0289 or via email at tylers@grand-island.com PROJECT BACKGROUND AND SCOPE OF WORK The WWTP is currently using 40,000 lbs / year of a polymer for the primary clarifier sludge , and / or secondary clarifier sludge and / or blend of primary and secondary clarifier sludge at the City of Grand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP ) as of year 2025. The purpose of this sludge dewatering polymer is to flocculate sludge from primary clarifiers or final clarifiers or the blend of primary and final clarifiers at the City of Grand Island WWTP which is followed by dewatering using belt filters or gravity belt thickeners . Polymer must be delivered in totes . If the mixture of polymer and carrying agents should separate , the mixture shall be considered defective , and the contractor shall replace the product . The shelf life of the polymer , from date of production , shall be noted .
