Renovation of an educational facility in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,870-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.

General contractors are invited to express their interest in providing all labour, materials, and equipment necessary for the renovation of a three-storey dormitory with an approximate gross floor area of 6,870 m². The work includes, but is not limited to, mechanical and electrical system upgrades such as modernization of the building’s power system, including new switchgear, transformers, service entrance equipment, switchboards, and panel boards, upgraded cabling, feeders, and raceway infrastructure; installation of two new ERVs, two MAUs, a VRF cooling system; replacement of sprinkler heads and pipe connectors; reconfiguration of laundry facilities; roof replacement of the existing single ply membrane with a 2-ply SBS roofing system; renovations to floors and gypsum board ceilings; painting; replacement of millwork; and new partitions and wall infill. Bidders must include Indigenous businesses or eligible joint ventures as subcontractors or suppliers. Bidders who are ineligible or suspended under Public Services and Procurement Canada's policies cannot proceed to the next stage. Bid security will be required in the tender phase. Contractors must maintain a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS) security clearance. Only those responding to this RFEOI will be invited to submit bids in the subsequent Tender Phase.
