Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The purpose of this project is to address excessive water buildup , improve stormwater drainage , and prevent water runoff and erosion beneath and around the existing tennis court surfaces . Work may include excavation , grading , installation of drainage systems , stormwater conveyance improvements , site restoration , and related work necessary to improve long - term drainage performance at the site . Location- Tiverton High School 100 North Brayton Road Tiverton , RI 02878 The timeline when school is not in session ( June 15 , 2026 August 1 , 2026 ) . The selected contractor shall provide all labor , materials , equipment , supervision , permitting assistance, and related services necessary to complete drainage improvements adjacent to and surrounding the Tiverton High School tennis courts . The project is intended to : Eliminate standing water accumulation around the tennis courts ; o Mitigate water infiltration and runoff beneath the court structure ; Improve overall site drainage and stormwater conveyance ; o Protect the integrity and lifespan of the tennis court surfaces and subsurface base materials ; o Reduce erosion and related site deterioration . Work may include , but is not limited to : o Site excavation and grading ; Installation of subsurface drainage systems ; Installation of catch basins , trench drains , French drains , or perforated piping ; Stormwater conveyance improvements ; Drainage swales and outlet stabilization ; Removal and replacement of affected asphalt , stone, or landscaping; Restoration of disturbed areas ; o Coordination with school operations and site safety requirements .
