The project involves the rehabilitation of an elevated water tank, including the removal, disposal, and in-kind replacement of all interior pedestal and tank piping and valves such as risers, overflow, and drain lines, along with associated heat tracing, insulation, supports, and appurtenances. The work also includes removal and replacement of the interior 6-inch concrete slab to accommodate embedded piping, including all fill, steel reinforcement, expansion materials, and penetrations. Additional tasks consist of replacing removable grating and associated angles, and removing and installing new electrical panels, including the Lighting Panel, Safety Switch, Cathodic Protection Panel, and Pump Control Panel, which must functionally duplicate existing systems. The existing access ladder from ground level to the first work platform will be removed and replaced with an OSHA-approved ladder equipped with a flexible cable safety climbing system and full-body harness. Proper disposal of electrical equipment, ferrous materials, and other construction waste at licensed facilities is required. Work will be performed near active flood mitigation and recreation areas, with facilities staffed continuously by Government personnel. Tank emptying will occur during the off-season upon coordination, and all system components in contact with water must be installed, tested, disinfected, and accepted to ensure operational readiness by the specified reopening date for public use. The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 540 calendar days
