The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, requires a commercial construction contractor to perform siding replacement at the Shenango River Lake Ranger Station Building in Transfer, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the complete removal and disposal of the existing exterior cedar siding, insulation, and furring boards. The contractor will temporarily relocate and reinstall exterior utilities and fixtures, including electrical services, lighting, and signage, while maintaining essential services throughout the project. New prefinished aluminum coverings will be installed at all window and door openings, which may require removing and resetting existing windows. A new exterior siding system will be constructed using pressure-treated lumber furring strips, rigid insulation, and approximately 2,500 square feet of lap cement fiberboard siding with all associated components. The project also requires replacing the existing cedar soffit on the porch ceiling with cement board soffit and installing new aluminum gravel stops, flashing, and a new gutter at the porch roof that will integrate with the existing EPDM roof. All work must be completed within 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, and the acquisition is set aside 100% for small business firms under NAICS 238170 for Siding Contractors.
