Furnish all labor , materials , permits , and equipment necessary to replace the hoist ropes on one ( 1) traction passenger elevator (State ID # 37419 / Car # 3), configured as a 2 1 roping system , double -wrapped with hitches in the secondary Specifically Remove elevator from service and post required notices Two (2 ) two -man crews to safely cut out failed ropes and suspend / secure the car and counterweight within the hoistway in preparation for new installation. Furnish and install a new set of traction steel hoist ropes , 5/8 " diameter , of proper size and characteristics matching equipment requirements (8x19 construction or as specified by elevator OEM ). Attach new ropes to existing hitch plates ; install new wedge shackles as required . Verify proper rope length , unhang car and counterweight , and run elevator .
