Individual project locations are tentatively expected to include traffic signal replacement and intersection improvements at the intersections of College/11th, College/3rd, College/4th, Walnut/4th, and Walnut/1st; sidewalk construction along the east side of College between 1st Street and 2nd Street; crosswalk improvements at multiple locations including College/Smith, Walnut 19th, and College/Walnut/Old 37; and other similar spot improvements within the corridor. Improvements will be designed to be compatible with the results of an ongoing corridor study to the maximum extent feasible, but are not expected to fully implement the results of that study The corridor study is expected to be complete before detailed design work begins, and consultants should assume that the project's public input is limited to coordination regarding impacts to individual properties. Respondents should assume that some right of way acquisition may be necessary using local funds. Project schedules should be designed to achieve a successful construction letting no later than October 11, 2029.
