Sealed bids (one original) will be received by the Lafayette Parish School System Purchasing Department and electronic bids will be received at www.centerlinebidconnect.com for the construction of the Ernest Gallet Elementary Classroom Addition at 2901 E. Milton Ave, Youngsville, Lafayette, LA 70592, as described in the Bidding Documents and listed on the Bid Form. The work under this contract shall be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days of the date specified in the Contract or a Notice to Proceed, subject to reimbursement to the owner of liquidated damages in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per consecutive calendar day. Complete Bidding Documents can be obtained in electronic form and plan holders are responsible for reproduction costs. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or Bid Bond using the Owner’s form payable to the Lafayette Parish School System, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposed Base Bid plus all Alternates. Electronic bids may be submitted online. A Bid bond is required and should be uploaded with the required Bid Documents. The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the Contract. Bidders must be licensed by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors for the classification of Building Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids. All questions regarding the Bid Documents and any substitution requests shall be submitted to Holly and Smith Architects via Centerline BidConnect. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Participation of minority business enterprises is strongly encouraged.
